Travel Sketching - Capturing Memories
Saturday June 29, 2024 1:00PM - 5:00 PM
Fee: $90.00 ($82 if register before May 30)

Discover your own creative expression and explore the fun of capturing memories! Whether you are bound for exotic places, traveling to your backyard, or out and about in town, you will learn how to do quick, spontaneous ink sketches with a Pilot Parallel chisel edged pen.

Using a water brush, learn how to draw out various values from the pen’s water-soluble ink. There will be lots of demos and lots of fun! You will feel comfortable and encouraged in this non-intimidating class, even if you don’t have any previous sketching experience. It’s not about learning technical drawing skills, it’s more about letting your intuitive nature play; being loose, expansive, and expressive. All in the spirit of enjoying life more fully with the art of sketching subjects in your daily lives or travels.

No experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

For additional class information about what students need to purchase, including a list of required tools, equipment, and supplies, please see the online class listing.

Teaching at Yosemite Art Center

For 16 years, I taught a week of Ink Sketching classes at Yosemite Art Center in Yosemite National Park. It was so wonderful to introduce Adventures in Ink to young and old.
